Our Preschool Program at Vernon Hills Gymnastics is designed to introduce children to the enjoyment of moving their bodies through the fun sport of gymnastics! Students will work on fine and gross motor skills, coordination, and introductory gymnastics skills. Our goal is for them to have fun and build confidence while learning. With the exception of our Parent and Tot class, Preschool Program students must be able to participate independently, without the help of a parent.

PARENT & TOT
Ages 2-3, Co-Ed | 45-Minute Class (Three-year-olds who are new to VHG must begin in a Parent & Tot Class.)

Parent and Tot classes will introduce your toddler to gymnastics in a fun and engaging way! We will help your child acclimate to the structure of an organized class and get comfortable with the gym equipment and atmosphere. Students will be introduced to the basics of gymnastics while also learning to follow directions, take turns, and develop a coach/student relationship. Parents will be hands-on with their child throughout the class.

KINDERGARTEN
Ages 5-6, Co-Ed | 60-Minute Class (Must turn 5 by September 1, and be going into Kindergarten in Fall 2025.)

Kindergarten classes are for students who are ready to focus and participate safely and independently. Kindergarten students will safely transition to some of our “Big Equipment”. Students will enjoy learning beginner gymnastics skills like forward and backward rolls, handstands and bridges. They will also work on flexibility, balance, and strength.
