Class Descriptions & Schedules:

Fall + Summer 2019

Parent and Tot (1-2 years) is a fun and playful introduction to beginner gymnastics skills for girls and boys.  Parents will support and guide their little ones through activities that build confidence, strength, and social interaction.

Parent and Tot (2-3 years) is a fun and playful introduction to beginner gymnastics skills for girls and boys. Students will have opportunities to bond with their parent, but also equal opportunities to gain independence and complete stations all on their own!

Preschool (3-4 years) is for students that are ready to participate and focus independently in a beginner gymnastics class.  Students will complete fun stations in an educational and playful way.

Preschool (4-5 years) is for gymnasts that have mastered swinging, jumping, and following directions. In this beginner class, students are expected to participate in all stations with minimal assistance.

Kindergarten Girls & Boys is an introductory recreational class for 5 and 6 year olds with little to no gymnastics experience required.  The kindergarten class focuses on basic positions and fundamental skills on all four girls gymnastics events.

Girls Level 1 is an introductory recreational class for beginner female students age 6 and up with little to no gymnastics experience required.  Level 1 focuses on basic positions and fundamental skills on all four girls gymnastics events.

Girls Level 2 is an advanced beginner class for female students age 7 and up.  Students will build upon the basic positions and fundamental skills covered in Level 1 and learn positions and progressions of advanced beginner skills. In order to participate at this level, students must be able to do a cartwheel, forward roll, backward roll, bridge, a pull over with a spot, and walk on the high beam.

Girls Level 3 is an intermediate class for female students age 7 and up that continues the progressions and instruction began in earlier levels and builds upon them.  Students will learn intermediate gymnastics skills. In order to participate at this level, students must be able to do a pull over, a back hip circle with spot, a handstand on low beam, a bridge kick over, a round off, and a back handspring with a barrel.   

Girls Xcel Pre Team is designed for female students age 7 and up who are attempting to join and compete on the Xcel team in the future. It is by invitation only. Students must be able to do a back hip circle, 3/4 handstand on high beam, and back handspring on a wedge with a spot.

Tumbling Level 1 is an introductory coed tumbling class for students age 6 and up that focuses on basic positions and fundamental tumbling skills on the floor exercise and tumble track.  No prior tumbling experience required.

Tumbling Level 2 is an intermediate coed tumbling class designed for students age 7 and up with some previous tumbling experience.  This class focuses on intermediate skills on the floor exercise and tumble track. In order to participate at this level, students must be able to do a cartwheel, a bridge kickover, and a back handspring with a barrel mat.

Tumbling Level 3 is an advanced coed tumbling class designed for students age 7 and up that focuses on more advanced tumbling skills on the floor exercise and tumble track.  In order to participate at this level, students must be able to do a bridge kickover, a round off, and a back handspring.

Back Handspring Level 1 is an introductory tumbling class that focuses intensively on teaching the back handspring.  This class teaches the fundamental body positions and progressions to begin learning a back handspring and is designed for students with little to no tumbling experience.

Back Handspring Level 2 is an intermediate tumbling class that continues the floor exercise progressions and builds upon them to successfully facilitate the learning of a back handspring.  In order to participate at this level, students must be able to do a cartwheel, a back handspring with a barrel, and a bridge kickover.

High School Tumbling is a coed tumbling class for students of all skill levels who are of high school age.  Beginner to advanced students are welcome to take this class.

Girls High School is intended for off season high school gymnasts.
