PARENT AND TOT / PRESCHOOL GYMNASTICS PROGRAM

Parent and Tot (12-24 months) is a fun and playful introduction to beginner gymnastics skills for girls and boys. Parents will support and guide their little ones through activities that build confidence, strength, and social interaction

Parent and Tot (18-36 months) is a fun and playful introduction to beginner gymnastics skills for girls and boys. Students will have opportunities to bond with their parent, but also equal opportunities to gain independence and complete stations all on their own!

Preschool (3 and 4 year olds) is for students that are ready to participate and focus independently in a beginner gymnastics class.  Students will complete fun stations while learning the basics of swinging, jumping, rolling and balance.

Preschool (4 and 5 year olds) is for gymnasts that have mastered swinging, jumping, and following directions. In this beginner class, students are expected to participate in all stations with minimal assistance.

Kindy Girls & Boys (Pre-K 5 year olds and Kindergarten 6 year olds) is an introductory class to Recreational Gymnastics. Students will begin learning the proper positions, strength drills and focus necessary to perform well in our Recreational Program. Skills will be learned on all four female gymnastics events (vault, bars, beam and floor). Each week in addition to our skill stations we will also spend time on a Focus Skill.

GIRLS RECREATIONAL GYMNASTICS PROGRAM                                     We follow USA Gymnastics Developmental Levels 1 through 3          Events practiced – Vault, Bars, Beam and Floor

Girls Rec Level 1 Beginner (6 and older) is an introduction to USAG Level 1 skills. Students will learn the proper positions, strength drills and focus necessary to complete these skills with minimal assistance from a coach. No prior gymnastics experience is required for this class.

Girls Rec Level 1 Intermediate (6 and older) is a continuation of USAG Level 1 skills. Students will focus more time on the correct form and technique needed to master their skills without assistance from a coach. Required skills to enroll – Pullover on bars, straight leg beam kicks, straight jump beam dismount, handstand, cartwheel, forward roll and backward roll (all skills with good form and minimal spotting).

Girls Rec Level 2 (7 and older) builds upon skills mastered in earlier levels and introduces new USAG Level 2 skills not yet learned (such as round off and bridge kickover). Required skills to enroll – Pullover on bars, straight leg beam kicks, straight jump beam dismount, handstand, cartwheel, forward roll and backward roll (all skills should be completed with excellent form and no coach spotting).

Girls Rec Level 3 (7 and older) builds upon skills mastered in earlier levels and introduces new USAG Level 3 skills not yet learned (such as handstand on high beam and back handsprings). Required skills to enroll – Pullover and back hip circle on bars, vertical handstand on low beam, round off and bridge kickover (all skills should be completed with good form and no coach spotting).

TUMBLING PROGRAM

Tumbling Level 1 is an introductory coed tumbling class for students age 6 and up that focuses on basic positions and fundamental tumbling skills on the flo. or exercise and tumble track.  No prior tumbling experience required

Tumbling Level 2 is an intermediate coed tumbling class designed for students age 7 and older with some tumbling experience.  This class focuses on intermediate skills on the floor exercise and tumble track. Required skills to enroll – handstand, cartwheel, bridge kickover with panel mat, and back handspring with a barrel mat (all skills with good form and no coach spotting).

Tumbling Level 3 is an advanced coed tumbling class designed for students age 7 and up that focuses on more advanced tumbling skills on the floor exercise and tumble track.  Required skills to enroll - bridge kickover, hurdle round off with rebound, and back handspring down wedge mat (all skills with good form and no coach spotting).

Girls High School is intended for off season high school gymnasts.
